They put all those children in cages
They put all those kids in a jail
They put all those babies in prison
They dump all those kids in a jail

They’re building a prison for babies
They put all those kids in a cage
They’re tearing the child from their mother
They put all those kids in a cage

We’re seeing it all on TV in the news
We sink back in horror and weep
We’re having our dinner and then our desert
We go to our beds and we sleep

They’re opening refugee detention centers
They’re guarding the borders with guns
They’re blocking the entrance with barbed wire and fence
They’re guarding the borders with guns

They’re turning the seas into graveyards
They treat those who flee as a pest
They’re letting the boats full of refugees drown
They treat those who flee as a pest

We’re seeing it all on TV in the news
We sink back in horror and weep
We’re having our dinner and then our desert
We go to our beds and we sleep

We watch all those abominations
We look at unspeakable crimes
The turning of dreams into nightmares
The torture and death all the time

It’s time for some determination
It’s high time now to take a stand
Those drownings those cagings those killings
Those prisons and borders must end
